Appearance & Design
Vast improvements in materials means natural looking dentures are now a reality when placed in skilled hands. Each Advance Oral Prosthetist is trained and constantly reminded of the need to obtain, through design, the most natural look possible.
This design function is made easier by visiting the home and chatting with and observing the patient in a relaxed environment which tends to show their normal facial mannerisms and smile.
Badly designed dentures should never be tolerated as they can cause genuine facial changes such as cracking at the corners of the mouth, deep lines around the lips and even sagging cheeks all of which lead to the appearance of premature ageing.
If it is obvious at first glance that a person is wearing dentures then they are more than likely to be poorly designed, ill fitting or in need of replacement and should be checked immediately.
